Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability Information

Our school is committed to nurturing children and trying to ensure that they make the best possible progress to achieve their full potential. Their progress is monitored regularly by class teachers and the senior leadership team. When a child is not making expected progress, a graduated approach - with parental agreement - is followed to deliver appropriate support which may include external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapy.

If you have concerns about the progress or attainment of your child then in the first instance, it is important to raise these with the class teacher. An appropriate response of support will be determined, in conjunction with Mrs Hutcherson where necessary.

Further information can be found in our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) policy document and our SEN Information report on how we put this policy into effect:

Parent Feedback

"The school have been fantastic with my child and his needs. He loves coming to school every day and is making progress. I just want to thank everyone for their continued support."

What is the Local Offer?

Local authorities must publish a Local Offer, setting out in one place information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have SEN or are disabled, including those who do not have Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. In setting out what they ‘expect to be available’, local authorities should include provision which they believe will actually be available.
