Welcome
St Thomas More Voluntary Catholic Academy is a welcoming and inclusive Catholic primary school at the heart of our community. Following our Ofsted inspection in February 2026, the school was graded at the Expected Standard in all areas. Inspectors praised our school as “a friendly and inclusive environment” where pupils “form strong and respectful relationships with their peers and staff”. They also noted that pupils enjoy attending St Thomas More, are welcoming and represent the school well. In 2025, our school was judged ‘Outstanding’ by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate. We are proud to be part of the St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust within the Diocese of Middlesbrough
Catering for children aged 3-11 years (Nursery to Year 6), our school is a vibrant, culturally diverse, inclusive and friendly academy located in the west of the city of Hull. Our school is of average size and children are taught in single class year groups. We serve our local parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes in Hessle and the West Hull parishes comprising St Joseph's, Corpus Christi and St Wilfrid's churches.
