Collective Worship

Collect

We place Christ at the centre of all we do and therefore we feel that Collective Worship is one way in developing a way for children to develop a relationship with Jesus and come to know him better.

We gather together as a whole school for collective worship to listen to scripture, spend time in prayer and reflect upon God’s Word. Collective worship happens in every class at least once a week. Pupils plan their own collective worship using our special collective worship planning resources, focusing upon: Gather, Word, Respond, Mission. Each day there is an opportunity for collective worship, as listed below.

Monday Prayer and Praise Led by teachers 10am School Hall
Tuesday Whole School Worship based on the Word Led by Junior Chaplaincy Team 10am School Hall
Wednesday Class Prayers Led by children in their classrooms
Thursday Statements to live by Led by teachers and children in their classrooms
Friday Over and Above Celebration Assembly Led by SLT 9:30am School Hall (Parents invited)
